Addiction treatment center for women expands

OWENTON, Ky. (AP) – An addiction treatment center for women in Kentucky is expanding.

Addiction Recovery Care said in a statement that the Owenton residential center will be increased from 16 beds to nearly 100. The facility offers a variety of services, including detoxification, in-house and outpatient treatment, and career opportunities for women with substance use disorders, officials said.

“Helping people in recovery to find hope is key. Hope motivates people to get involved and complete their treatment, ”said Tim Robinson, CEO of ARC.

The expansion will also create more jobs. With the additional beds, the facility is expected to employ nearly 50 full-time employees, officials said.
