Beacon Health proposes lawsuit for $ 75,000 mental health treatment

Beacon Health Options defeated a US $ 75,000 family lawsuit insuring their son’s 11 months’ stay at an inpatient mental health treatment center after a federal judge in Utah ruled the insurer’s conclusions about levels of care the center had confirmed.

Beacon reasonably declined to cover the teen’s stay at the Catalyst Residential Treatment Center because Catalyst did not provide the level of treatment associated with an inpatient treatment center, said Judge Jill N.
