Police say victim died in St. Catharines of fentanyl overdose
A manslaughter charge has been laid after the death of a man from a drug overdose.
St. Catharines police say on July 22nd they came across an unresponsive 26-year old, at a business in the Welland Avenue and Geneva Street area.
The man died in hospital a few days later, with police adding it was from a fentanyl overdose.
Yesterday city police, along with the Niagara force, say they arrested 34-year old Krzysztof Sojka of Hamilton, charging him with manslaughter and drug trafficking.
He’s being held in St Catharines court, pending a bail hearing today.
