Police respond to drug overdose
The following list includes recent reports from the Midland County Sheriff’s Office and the Midland Police Department. Compiled by reporter Tereasa Nims.
10:38 pm – A deputy conducted a traffic stop at a Jerome Township location. A 51-year-old woman driver was subsequently arrested for operating while intoxicated and operating under the influence of drugs. The woman was lodged at the Midland County Jail. A report is being sent to the prosecuting attorney’s office.
9:26 pm – Police responded to the 6100 block of Jefferson Ave. for a drug overdose.
4:26 pm – A 34-year-old Clare man was arrested on a Friend of the Court warrant out of St. Clair County following a traffic stop in the Village of Sanford. The male was transported to the Midland County Jail where he was to be picked up by St. Clair County.
4:06 pm – Report of a man and woman walking down the road in Midland Township. The man had pushed the female. It was discovered the man was a special needs subject who was trying to walk away from his care giver. The subjects had returned home where the deputies located them.
2:37 pm – Deputies assisted the Beaverton Police Department to locate a 45-year-old male in Hope Township.
1:59 pm – Officers were called to the 700 block of Village East for a general assist.
12:43 pm – Police responded to the 4200 block of Moorland Drive for a larceny.
12:39 pm – Officers were called to the 900 block of Joe Mann Blvd. for a trespassing complaint.
7:55 am – Animal Control Deputy dispatched to the area of W. Blakely and W. River Roads regarding a dog running loose in the roadway at that intersection. Checked the area and no loose dogs were located.
4:03 am – Deputies responded to a Coleman residence to attempt contact with a 30-year-old man regarding an investigation in Mt. Pleasant. It was discovered that the house was vacant, and the man resides in Mount Pleasant.
1:03 am – Officers were called to the 7300 block of Lilac St. to assist the fire department.
